Off to a big start…

We rolled out in Cape Town last week, and got off to a flying start. So encouraging to see a congregation respond so quickly and so generously to those in need. Reminded me of the Macedonian Church who were known for their generosity. Week one saw us send 132 food parcels into Khayelitsha via our partner church Christ Church Khayelitsha, and week two has been followed up by an equally impressive 92 parcels. This township remains one of South Africa’s largest and fastest growing communities, so the need remains large and growing, and it would be brilliant if we could continue to love them the way we have been

Disclaimer: We do our utmost to send the parcel you purchase to the location you purchased it for. But things are changing all the time, especially at present, we thus take our lead from the local churches. This may mean that from time to time we change the contents of our parcels, or divert parcels from one location to another instead, and if food is not easily available we may purchase food vouchers in place of parcels. However, rest assured, every cent goes to a needy household identified by our church partners in the townships.
